| Great Fishing
Even before the turn of the century, serious salmon fishermen were traveling from around the world to fish the waters of Discovery Passage, in pursuit of the famed "Tyee" - Chinook King salmon in excess of thirty pounds.
Although the largest of the salmon, the Tyee is by no means the only star in a glittering cast of available sport fish.
The hard fighting Northern Coho Silver, the abundant pink, the rich sockeye or reds, the Chinook or King, autumn chum salmon, silver steelhead, coastal cutthroats, and dolly varden char, all provide the area with high caliber fishing. | |
